Edit Mode
Overview

Section titled “Entering Edit Mode”You can enter Edit Mode by double-clicking a task or using the keyboard.
When starting with an empty file or when no item is selected, pressing
Exiting Edit Mode
Section titled “Exiting Edit Mode”If you’re in Edit Mode, you can return to Selection Mode by clicking outside the tasks, clicking the validation button in the floating menu, or using the keyboard.
Editing Another Item
Section titled “Editing Another Item”While in Edit Mode, you can type freely to modify the task’s text. You can move the caret with the mouse to another element without leaving Edit Mode. You can also use the keyboard.
You can also move the caret by going up one level or descending into the hierarchy.
Creating Items from Edit Mode
Section titled “Creating Items from Edit Mode”While editing a task, you can quickly create new items without exiting Edit Mode:
Create a new item below the current task:
Create a child item of the current task:
Moving Items from Edit Mode
Section titled “Moving Items from Edit Mode”It is also possible to move an element within the hierarchy. Note that this is always done relative to the item above it, as in a classic tree view. If you select the first element of a column, you cannot move it. But if you select the second element and indent it, it will become a child of the parent item.
Undo & Redo
Section titled “Undo & Redo”All actions in Selection or Edit Mode can be undone and redone.
