Expert Mode

In Settings → Interface, you can hide column headers, the floating menu, help, and optionally the connectors.

You can then use the application entirely with the keyboard. The application uses most of the classic shortcuts of a list, and for commands you rarely use, you can use the Command Menu.

One File or Multiple

A question often asked by people starting with Colonnes is whether they should use one or multiple files. The advice is rather to use a single file. As it allows you to manage a large number of tasks and create your own hierarchy instead of imposing menus, you will be more efficient.

However, it can still be useful to have independent files, for example for a large project.

Whatever the case, it’s your decision.
